All products have a one year warranty from the date of purchase.
Baby Jogger strollers also have a lifetime warranty on their frames. See more about this on our Warranty page.

You can extend your stroller's warranty to two years by completing this Product Registration page with your stroller purchase details. This needs to be done within the one year warranty timeframe, so we recommend doing it as soon as you make your purchase.

Safety

Yes! Safety comes first at Baby Jogger. We test and retest our products to ensure that all our current strollers either meet or exceed ASTM and/or EN 1888 testing standards for strollers and carriages. Remember, we are the original Baby Jogger Company and that means we have over 25 years of experience caring for your precious cargo.

The City Go 2 capsule has passed the AS/NZD 1754-2013 standard.
Additionally, the capsule has been put through the TRUE Test Plus™ safety standards, which help protect baby in rollover, side, front, and rear collisions; and it has been engineered & crash tested to meet or exceed US standard FMVSS 21. Also, the SecureStop™ Anti-Rebound Bar has been included provide an extra layer of safety.

Except where noted, our frames are backed by a lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects. The parts of your stroller, excluding tyres and tubes, are warranted to be free of manufacturer defects for a period of 1 year under normal use and in compliance with the operating instructions. See more on our Warranty page.

The warranty of your stroller is covered by the country in which you purchased it. If you have purchased your Baby Jogger overseas, you are responsible for any shipping charges that may incur to fulfill a warranty claim with the country of purchase. We do have a range of parts, however, and can help with warranty issues for strollers purchased overseas in most cases; but this will be at your own cost.

All capsules have a recommended expiry date from the date of manufacture. The Baby Jogger City Go capsule's expiry date is 7 years from the date of manufacture. If you use another branded capsule with your stroller, we suggest you check with that brand for their capsule expiry range.

Unlike baby capsules, strollers do not have an expiry date. So, as long as your stroller is in a good condition with working parts and is suitably clean for your little one to use, you can continue to use it for many years or pass it along to a friend or family member to use.

If your stroller is looking worse for wear, you can get replacement parts to refresh or fix it up. Check out our spare parts products or ask our team to help.

While not intended for overnight sleeping, the following bassinets are classified as safe for overnight sleeping under the European and NZ/AU safety standard.

BJ1918J - Mini2/GT2
Bassinet

BJ1885 - City Elite
2 Bassinet

1874B - Deluxe
Bassinet

Due to differences in classification, none of the bassinets meet the rules for safe for overnight sleeping under USA safety standards.

Because Baby Jogger makes one bassinet for all three markets, most text will say that they are not safe for overnight sleeping; however, they do meet the New Zealand safety standards.

Stroller Questions

If the question you have is not covered below or you would like to discuss your options with a team member, please reach out to us via our live chat (available during working hours 8:00am–4:30pm) or contact us. We'd be happy to help you.

Most parents choose to purchase a stroller at some point. A stroller gives you the flexibility to move around easily when shopping, out for walks or meeting up with friends, as carrying your growing child can become very tiring.

You can make sure your baby is safe and secure by strapping them into the stroller. Whilst young children may, at times, be eager to walk along beside you or run around freely, they can also tire quickly and will likely gravitate back to the relaxing option of being pushed along. For this reason, having a stroller on hand can be very helpful.

All of our strollers are suitable for newborns when in the lie-flat position. Some parents choose to get a bassinet or use their capsule with the stroller when their child is an infant.

In New Zealand, these different words all mean the same thing. Sometimes bassinets are called prams (mainly overseas), but here in New Zealand, the words stroller, buggy and pram can be used interchangeably.

If you are wanting a bassinet (sometimes referred to as a pram) for your stroller, we do have these for most of our strollers.
Check out the Bassinet section on our website.

All of our current model strollers have seats that recline. This gives babies' backs – especially newborns – the suitable support they need.

The City Select is newborn compatible, as the seat allows for flat-back support when the seat is in the lie-flat position (fully reclined). However, for a fully flat surface, it best to use a compatible bassinet when using the stroller. Additionally, a capsule that is compatible with the City Select could be an alternative, but as it does not accommodate a flat-lie position, recommended use time is limited to 2-3 hours per day.

Please note that the Summit X3 recline is for cruising purposes only. It is not safe to run or jog with the seat fully reclined.

We suggest strollers and joggers can be used for children in an upright position from approximately six months to five-years-old. We do not recommend placing your baby in the upright seat of the stroller or jogger until they are able to sit and hold their head up without assistance.

Our most popular and well known fold is our patented Quick-Fold technology on our three wheeler strollers. This enables you to fold your stroller with one hand.

When folding the latest model of our three wheelers, place your pointing finger under the small loop and pull, then place the rest of your hand under the larger loop and pull up. You'll find this stroller is both safe and secure, while still easy on hand fold! All Quick-Fold strollers are also equipped with a storage latch or strap to prevent them from popping open during transportation or when in storage.

For even smaller folding of your stroller when traveling or packing, use the quick release button to remove the wheels.

The weight capacity of Baby Jogger strollers includes the weight of the child or children, any items you are placing in the storage compartments and any accessories you are attaching.

For our double strollers, the weight capacity is per seat. When using a double stroller, we recommend an even weight distribution on both sides of the stroller.

The Summit X3 stroller is our current running stroller and is intended to be used for jogging, running or exercise.
The City Elite strollers have larger wheels and better suspension than the other City Series strollers and are therefore suitable for light jogging.

We recommend that you speak with your pediatrician before starting this activity. Every baby is different, but typically a doctor will recommend that a baby is 6 months old before you jog with them on smooth pavement, and 12 months old before you jog on trails, grass, gravel or uneven terrain.

Baby Jogger offers a convenient accessory called the Glider Board. The Glider Board attaches to the rear axle on most of our single or double strollers and provides an area for an older child to ride along. It is not compatible with strollers like the Vue Lite, City Mini ZIP, City Lite, or City Tour strollers due to their lack of a suitable axle.

Buggy Boards made by other manufacturers are not recommended for use with Baby Jogger strollers.

We recommend testing out the Glider Board at your nearest retailer before purchasing to see if it is the right fit for your family. Check that you have a suitable amount of leg space when walking and that your child is confident enough to stand on it and not too tall.

For most of our strollers, we do have a matching bassinet for your stroller. Check out the Bassinets on our website, and if you are not sure which one is compatible with your stroller, contact us and one of the team will assist you.

Yes – the seat and canopies of our strollers and joggers are made from strong, lightweight, washable fabrics which easily detach from the frame. The seat should be hand-washed in cold water and then attached back onto the stroller to dry.

The seat and canopies of our strollers and joggers are made from strong, lightweight, washable fabrics which easily detach from the frame. The seat can be hand-washed in cold water and then attached back onto the stroller to dry.
The rest of your stroller can be sprayed down with cold water, but we suggest making sure it fully dries, so you do not cause it to rust by leaving it wet.

An EVA tyre is a lightweight moulded plastic wheel that is durable and compressible – ideal for pavement or smooth urban terrain. This wheel is available on our Vue Lite, City Mini, City Mini ZIP, City Lite, and City Tour strollers, which helps to make these strollers lightweight, agile and compact when folded.

PU foam-filled tyre is a "rubber-like" tyre that is even more durable than EVA, yet still lightweight. It's ideal for multiple terrains. The City Select (front wheels only) and City Premier feature this type of tyre.

Forever-Air tyre is a rubber tyre inflated with lightweight foam instead of air. This ensures the tyre will not go flat with frequent use or rough terrain. This is our most all-terrain tyre. The City Mini GT, City Elite, and City Select (rear wheel only) all feature Forever-Air tyres.

Pneumatic tyre is an inflatable rubber tyre that provides a comfortable, smooth ride on many different terrains. The Summit X3 has pneumatic tyres, which adds to its all-terrain capabilities.

Small wheels on the City Tour strollers facilitate their compact design, which makes them work well on concrete, smooth terrain and indoor strolls.

The City Mini and City Mini GT ranges feature slightly larger wheels, which – depending on the wheel material – can still allow for a compact fold. They also have the additional advantage of increased surface area, and therefore stability, when the stroller is pushed around.

The next level up in wheel size is on our City Elite or the back wheels of City Select. The benefit of these larger wheels is that they ride a lot smoother on multi terrain and bumpy surfaces.

Then the stroller with our largest wheels is the Summit x3. Its larger wheels help to smoothen out the ride for your little one when the stroller is used while you're running across rough terrain.

Baby Jogger recommends inflating your air-filled tyres to 20 PSI. Your tyre rim may say a maximum of 40 PSI, but please only inflate to 20 PSI. You can use a standard bicycle pump to inflate your tyres.
Note: Most Baby Jogger strollers use foam filled tyres, so there is no need for air to be put into the tyres.

Please note these bassinets are all designed for the original version strollers ie. Not City Mini GT, City Elite 2 etc.

It is suggested you eliminate the use of a stroller once your child is three years old.

Dr. Naomi Neufeld (Medical Director of KidShape Foundation, a nonprofit weight-management program for children) says that busy parents don’t always make the time to take their children on walks. “When they go out to run errands, letting their child out of the stroller to walk often takes too much extra time and effort,” she says. Neufeld adds that parents need to embrace the idea that “childhood is about mastering one’s environment, so if parents don’t allow their children to get out and explore away from their stroller, they are encouraging a sedentary lifestyle and promoting their child’s risk for obesity.”

Sometimes there are different circumstances where parents may stop using a stroller earlier or keep their child it in for longer, but ultimately, it is up to parents to decide what is best for their child. In the transition phase, it is advisable to have the stroller accessible while encouraging children to walk alongside you or explore independently; then, if they become tired, it is available for use.

Capsule Questions

Nearly all of our strollers either come with an adaptor or are compatible with an adaptor which is available for purchase, so you can connect a capsule to it. Check out our Capsule Adaptor Guide to see what options we have available.

Most of our strollers can take capsules, but it does vary which capsules they work with. Check out our Capsule Adaptors Guide to see what capsules are compatible with your stroller.

Check out our Capsule Adaptors Guide we have created to help show you what adaptors are compatible with your stroller.

The City Mini 2, City Mini GT2 and City Elite 2 strollers all come with capsule adaptors for the Baby Jogger City Go and Graco capsules.

If you would like to connect a different capsule, you will need to check out our Adaptors Guide to see if there is an adaptor compatible with your stroller.

All strollers that are car seat adaptor compatible will fold with the adaptor attached. However, they will not be as compact as without the adaptors.

This will depend on what capsule you have. Most babies tend to grow out of their capsule at around six months old.
If you have the Baby Jogger City Go Capsule, your baby can be up to 81cm tall or 15.8kgs heavy. Most babies tend to grow out of the capsule's height restriction before they grow out of the maximum weight restriction.

Traditionally, babies grow out of capsules at around the six month mark, but it can all depend on your child's growth. The City Go 2 capsule has a weight range of 1.8kgs to 15.8kgs and your child can be up to 81cm tall in it. Usually children outgrow the maximum height measurement first, as there is such a high weight capacity.

The infant body support that comes with the capsule must be used when your child is under 2.7kgs. After that, it can be removed according to your preference. However, we recommend that, at the latest, it is removed before your child reaches 5kgs.

The Baby Jogger City Go capsule's expiry date is seven years from the date of manufacture.

There are different opinions on the total length in time a baby should be in a capsule. Generally, it is recommended that you should have them in their capsule for less than two hours per day. This is because the baby's spine is in a C-shaped position while it's still developing (the S-shape adults have), and without the head and neck muscle strength which develops at around the 6-month mark, their head can accidentally slump forward, reducing their airflow.

It is also recommended by many that if you need to have your baby in a capsule for a long period of time, it is best to break up their time in the capsule at 30min intervals with some time holding them.
