How old should my baby be before they are able to sit in the upright seat of a Baby Jogger?
Our strollers and joggers can be used for children in an upright position from approximately six months to five-years-old. We do not recommend placing your baby in the upright seat of the stroller or jogger until they are able to sit and hold their head up without assistance.
Do all of your buggies have a seat which fully reclines?
The City Mini, City Mini GT, City Select, City Elite, Summit X3 and City Tour 2 models have reclinable seats that are suitable for use with a newborn. Please note that the Summit X3 recline is for cruising purposes only. Please do not run or jog with the seat fully reclined. The City Select, City Premier, and City Tour have reclining seats that are suitable for use from 6 months up.
How can I use your Baby Jogger buggies with an infant?
Most of our buggies are suitable for infants, there are some you will need a capsule or bassinet for the first few months.
You can easily turn your buggy into a travel system with one of our car seat adapters or prams.
The City Mini, City Mini GT, City Mini ZIP, City Lite, City Elite, and Summit X3 buggies have an increased recline angle to a near flat position to accommodate newborns. That means you can safely lay a baby in the fully reclined seat of these buggies without the use of a car seat adapter or bassinet. While using a Summit X3, never run or jog with your seat fully reclined. Also, please keep in mind that babies should have ample neck support when placed in the reclined seat of a buggy- you can use any number of neck supports sold at baby stores.
Is my capsule compatible with my buggy?
Most of our buggies can take capsules, but it does vary which capsules they work with. Check out our Capsule Adaptors Guide to see what capsules are applicable.

All buggies that are car seat adapter compatible will fold with the adapter attached. However, they will not be as compact as without the adaptors. This includes the Mini line, City Elite, Summit X3, City Mini ZIP, City Premier and City Select.
All our buggies fold in some way or another. While our most popular fold is our patented Quick-Fold technology on our three wheeler City Series buggies.

On our new City Series buggies (Mini 2, Mini GT2 and Elite 2) place a finger under the small loop one and pull, then place the rest of your hand under the larger loop two and pull up. Safe and secure while still easy on hand fold!
All Quick-Fold buggies are equipped with a storage latch or strap to prevent the buggies from popping open during transport or storage.
For even smaller folding when traveling or packing your buggy away use the quick release button on your buggy to remove the wheels.
What does the weight capacity of your buggies mean?
The weight capacity of Baby Jogger buggies includes the weight of the child or children, any items you are placing in the storage compartments and any accessories you are attaching. For example, if you are placing two 22.5Kg children in a double buggy with a weight capacity of 45Kg, you will exceed the weight capacity of the buggy by placing any items in the storage compartments or adding accessories. When using a double buggy , we recommend an even weight distribution on both sides of the buggy.
How old should my baby be before I can jog or run with them?
We recommend that you speak with your pediatrician before starting this activity. Every baby is different, but typically a doctor will recommend that a baby be 6 months old before you jog on smooth pavement, and 12 months old before jogging on trails, grass, gravel or uneven terrain.
Which of your buggies can I run with?
The Summit X3 buggies/jogger hybrid is our current jogging stroller and is intended to be used for jogging, running or exercise.

What are the differences between an EVA, Forever-Air and Pneumatic tire?
An EVA tire is a lightweight moulded plastic wheel that is compressible - ideal for pavement or smooth urban terrain. EVA is found on many durable goods, such as shoes. This wheel is available on our Vue Lite, City Mini, City Mini ZIP, City Lite, and City Tour buggies, which helps to make these buggies lightweight, agile and compact when folded.
A PU foam-filled tire is a "rubber like" tire, that is more durable than EVA yet still lightweight. It's ideal for multiple terrains. The City Select (front wheels only) and City Premier feature this type of tire.
A Forever-Air tire is a rubber tire inflated with lightweight foam instead of air. This ensures the tire will not go flat with frequent use or rough terrain. This is our most all-terrain tire. The City Mini GT, City Elite, and City Select (rear wheel only) all feature Forever-Air tires.
A Pneumatic tire is an inflatable rubber tire that provides a comfortable, smooth ride on many different terrains. The Summit X3 has pneumatic tires, which adds to its all-terrain capabilities.
Which wheel size is right for me?
We've devised the following guidelines so you can choose the right wheel size for your needs:
5.0" - 8.5" Wheels - Ideal for indoor strolls, walking on pavement or smooth urban terrain. These smaller lightweight wheels are perfect for city dwellers who need a compact buggies for every day use. Please view our Vue Lite, City Mini, City Mini GT, City Mini ZIP, City Lite, or City Tour strollers for this wheel size.
12" Wheel - Perfect for walking on grass, trails, sidewalks or in stores. Wonderful for city life where smaller wheels offer a more compact, maneuverable buggy. You will fall in love with the 12" buggy wheels if you have previously owned a conventional buggy . Please view our City Elite, City Select or Summit models for this wheel size.
16" Wheel - Great for walking or jogging and is still very easy to store and transport. It's large enough to handle snow and sand yet still small enough to fit into tight spaces.
How much air should I put in my tires?
Baby Jogger recommends inflating your tires to 20 PSI. Your tire rim may say a maximum of 40 PSI, but please only inflate to 20 PSI. You can use a standard bicycle pump to inflate your tires.
Note: Most Baby Jogger buggies use foam filled tyres so there is no need for air to be put into the tyres.
